On February 26, 2018, first technical review panel meeting of the first English-Georgian, Public Health Dictionary was conducted at the David Tvildiani Medical University (DTMU). The representatives of various Universities, NGOs, UN agencies and students of DTMU attended the meeting. Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze presented the importance of the development of the Georgian Public Health Dictionary as a way of systematizing and arranging the international terms used in Public Health in Georgian.
Professor Pkhakadze emphasized future perspectives of utilizing this dictionary in the educational process at Georgian Universities with medical and public health faculties, and by the other institutions for academic and research purpose. Professor Pkhakadze welcomed participation in the technical review panel regional Universities and local NGOs this will make the first edition of the dictionary more comprehensive.
The first edition of the English-Georgian Public Health dictionary is planned to be published by the end of 2018.
All Universities, NGOs, UN Agencies, International organizations, the private sector and experts are welcome to take part in the development of the dictionary.
