On 21th of July, 2019 David Tvildiani Medical University’s 30th Graduation Ceremony was held in “Republic”.
The event was led by Famous Georgian Pianist David Aladashvili and Famous Georgian Diva Natalia Kutateladze. The President of Georgia Mrs. Salome Zurabishvili, The Founder of DTMU Mr. Dimitry Tvildiani, University’s Rector Mr. Levan Tvildiani and Dean Mrs. Nino Bregvadze-Tabagari and the graduate of 1997 Mr. Vasil Tsiskarishvili and the graduate of 2019th Lasha Sherazadishvili gave the speech during this ceremony. Traditionally the rector of the university revealed the best student from 2019’s graduates, who became Ketevan Gvazava. Rector gave her David Tvildiani’s award and cash prize. DTMU graduates Mindia Tarieladze and Alocha Henry Elochukwu read the “Physicians Oath”. This Oath proofs, that David Tvildiani Medical University’s students are aware of their responsibilities, will never forget it and they will always take care of their patients, because of their profession, which is closely connected with human life.
After the Oath, Dean Mrs. Nino Bregvadze-Tabagari awarded students with memorable certificates of university.
Graduates of 2019 had revealed 3 nominations for academicians. Winners were awarded by the memorable certificates. For the nomination “The best lecturer for class of 2019 in Basic Medical Sciences” award win Mr. Vakhtang Meunargia, and “The best lecturer for class of 2019 in Clinical Sciences” became Mr. Giorgi Kenchandze. The winner of the third special nomination “The best Mentor” became Prof. Malkhaz Kokichashvili.
DTMU’s Rector Mr. Levan Tvildiani awarded the oldest staff members for being an integral part of the university since the day it was founded:
1. Vice-Rector in Strategic Management and Development field – Prof. Sergo Tabagari
2. Vice-Rector in Educational Affairs – Prof. Malkhaz Kokichashvili
3. Chancellor – Mr. Nikoloz Goguadze
4. Inspector of the teaching department – Ms. Keso Pureliani
DTMU Central Scientific Laboratory Organized the test “reaction Time”, Ms Ketevan Janashia awarded the winners (Mariam Silagava, Tornike Jashi, Sandro Mushkudiani and Luka Chigogidze) of the test during the ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, class of 2017 students performed hymn (Gaudeamus Igitur).
After the end of the official part, the Tbilisi Jazz Big-Band entertained the guests.
