On April 30th 2020, Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze, member of the United Nations Secretary-General’s Independent Accountability Panel for Every Woman, Every Child, Every Adolescent (IAP) facilitated a virtual Multi Stakeholder Meeting for the Georgia case study for 2020 IAP Global Report “Universal health coverage for all people: accountability for every woman, child and adolescent and those left behind”, to be launched at the High-Level Political Forum in New York, in July 2020.
Meeting was attended by wide range of stakeholders including Government of Georgia, Parliament of Georgia, Ombudsman Office of Georgia, UN Agencies, Academic Institutions, Medical Associations, Civil Society, Media, Healthcare providers and practitioners.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss the emerging findings of the study and 3-5 actions that could be undertaken to drive the change. Alternatively, comments may be sent by email to giorgi76@gmail.com before May 7, 2020.
