May 5, a representative online audience gathered at the Virtual Lecture Hall of David Tvildiani Medical University. The meeting focused on the Georgia Country Accountability Case Study conducted by the Independent Reporting Council of the United Nations Secretary-General in 2020.
The online meeting was held by Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze, who is the Member of the International Evaluation Committee of the United Nations Secretary-General's Independent Accountability Panel (EWEC), for Every Woman, Every Child, Every Adolescent (IAP) facilitated a virtual Multi Stakeholder Meeting for the Georgia case study for 2020 IAP Global Report “Universal health coverage for all people: accountability for every woman, child and adolescent and those left behind”,also Professor Pkhakadze is a member of the Global Pneumococcal Preliminary Market Agreement (AMC) of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI).
About 150 interested people participated in the last two online meetings related to the study. The meeting was attended by representatives of various universities across the country: David Tvildiani Medical University, Tbilisi State Medical University, Kutaisi Akaki Tsereteli State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, New Vision and Caucasus University academic staff and students. During the meeting, Professor Giorgi Pkhakadze presented a research report, which was of great interest and approval to the attendees. Participants were actively involved in the review of the research report,
Each participant had the opportunity to ask questions and express their opinions. At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed that the meetings should be continued in the academic space around the main theses given in the report, with the active involvement of various universities.
