On 8-10th December 2016, the 32nd Ernst Klenk Symposium in Molecular Medicine (on „Precision oncology: Translating basic discoveries into patient survival”) was held in Cologne. David Tvildiani Medical University student Avtandil Kochiashvili, Ana Metreveli, Tamar Chomakhidze and Nikoloz Mikeladze participated in the Symposium.
The Symposium was organized by the director of Cologne University Molecular Medicine Center and the medical coordinator Mrs. Debora Grosskopf-Kroiher. The chairmen of the Symposium were Christian Reinhardt and Roman Thomas.
The Ernst Klenk Symposium in Molecular Medicine is the Biomedical Scientific Meeting which is held every year in Cologne and gives the doctors and scientists the opportunity to discuss important tasks in biomedical science. The Symposium is named after the famous German Lipid-Biochemic Ernst Klent.
The main goal of 32nd Ernts Klent Symposium was to show the influence of Genetic Mutation on cancers and discuss the use of this discovery in medical treatments. Participants made oral reports during the symposium. There were also posters presentation.
