On 27th of July, 2017 David Tvildiani Medical University’s 20th Graduation Ceremony was held in Tbilisi Concert Hall. All graduates of DTMU (1997-2017) were attending the ceremony.
The event was led by Famous Georgian Pianist David Aladashvili. The Minister of Labour Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Mr. david Sergeenko, The Founder of DTMU Mr. Dimitry Tvildiani, University’s Rector Mr. Levan Tvildiani and Dean Mrs. Nino Bregvadze-Tabagari and the graduates of 1997 gave the speech during this ceremony. Traditionally the rector of the university revealed the best student from 2017’s graduates, who became Salome Kordzaia. Rector gave her David Tvildiani’s award and cash prize. After that she read the “Physicians Oath” with another student, Srijana Mandal. This Oath proofs, that David Tvildiani Medical University’s students are aware of their responsibilities, will never forget it and they will always take care of their patients, because of their profession, which is closely connected with human life.
DTMU Chancellor Mr. Nikoloz Goguadze awarded 6th year student David Maghlakelidze for its activity in sport and student’s life.
After the Oath, Dean Mrs. Nino Bregvadze-Tabagari awarded students with memorable certificates of university. Then students have signed the Oath and get their branded pins.
Graduates of 2017 had revealed 2 nominations for academicians. Winners were awarded by the memorable certificates. For the nomination “The best lecturer for class of 2016 in Basic Medical Sciences” award win Mrs. Nino Zavrashvili, and “The best lecturer for class of 2016 in Clinical Sciences” became Mr. Malkhaz Kartozia.
At the end of the ceremony, class of 2017 students performed hymn (Gaudeamus Igitur).
