Georgia is a country on intersection of Europe and Asia, south of Caucasian Mountains range, between the Black and Caspian seas. Nearly 3.7 M people live here. Tbilisi is the capital city with nearly 1.2 M people. Georgia is neighboured By Black sea from west, Russia from north, Turkey and Armenia from south, Azerbaijan from east.
Georgia is not a big country - nearly as big as South Carolina, but has very diverse climate regions – from snowy mountains of over 20000 ft high to tropical forests and even a desert. There are places where can ski in the montains and swim in the sea same day.

Most convenient way to fly from New York to Tbilisi is via Istanbul ( Turkish Airlines), or Munich (lufthanza). Starting from 2023 Georgian Airways are planning to fly directly New York- Tbilisi.
Transportation in the Tbilisi is not expensive: bus and subway both are less than 10c, which allows to ride and switch any of them during 1,5 hours. Taxi on most of the distances within the city is less than 15 Lari, which is nearly $5.
Georgian cuisine has a very distinct character, while bearing some influences with various national cuisines from Greece and the Mediterranean in the west to Turkey, Persia and India in the east.
Georgia was one of the countries on the Silk Road, which resulted in travelers influencing Georgian cuisine. The Georgian love of family and friends is one of the reasons why the meetings at the table are so important in Georgia.
Georgia has a wide variety of dishes of all kinds. Lots of greens, vegetables and fruits are grown here organic way. Different meats : beef, pork, lamb and poultry are also a significant part of Georgian Cuisine.
